Description
Organised by Accelerating Circularity, BSR and WWF
As fashion brands and policymakers push for circularity, robust due diligence is critical to ensuring that used textile flows support—not undermine—responsible and inclusive outcomes. This session will unpack the environmental, economic, and social impacts of the rapidly expanding second-hand textile trade, drawing on early findings from Accelerating Circularity, BSR, and WWF’s study tracking material flows, and their impacts, from the US, UK, and EU to major import regions. A multi-stakeholder panel will explore what effective due diligence looks like for this sector and how it can guide smarter policy, investment, and industry action. Participants will also engage in small-group discussions on shaping the future of more transparent and inclusive circular systems in fashion.
