Organised by CCC (Clean Clothes Campaign) & WSM (We Social Movements) Global rising temperatures, a direct consequence of the current climate crisis, are driving extreme heat, impacting workers' health, safety, and livelihoods. The session "Fighting for Workers' Rights: Addressing Heat Challenges for workers in the Garment Industry for a Just Transition" focuses on key recommendations for brands, government, and suppliers on worker-centred heat protection, livelihood safeguarding, adaptation planning, human rights, and climate mitigation/just transition. This session will explore the findings and recommendations presented in our latest position paper on heat, featuring insights from experts and firsthand experiences shared by workers in the impacted regions.
