Organised by Verité and Responsible Sourcing Network / YESS
Nearly 90% of respondents in a recent USFIA benchmarking study reported having mapped their apparel supply chains from Tier 1 to Tier 3. But visibility in Tier 4 remains a challenge, and significant work is still needed to transition from isolated traceability efforts to sustained due diligence that reduces the risk of forced and child labor in supply chains. The Verité STREAMS traceability project partnered with Responsible Sourcing Network’s initiative YESS: Yarn Ethically & Sustainably Sourced to pilot the use of specific traceability solutions – isotope testing and supply chain mapping – for labor insight and action at the mill level. Verité and RSN will share insights from these field pilots, with a participating mill joining to discuss the impact of using a risk-based procurement approach. They will also preview new traceability and due diligence resources, including publicly available mill-facing tools.
