Description

PhDr. Ondřej Andrys, MAE, MBA, MPA is a graduate of the Faculty of Arts at Palacký University in Olomouc, and has completed further studies, e.g. in the joint international programme of the University of Economics in Prague and Jean Moulin University in Lyon, France. In the past he taught at secondary schools and language schools, then worked as a university teacher at Palacký University in Olomouc. From 2012-2022, he served as Deputy Central Inspector of Schools in the Czech Republic, managed large-scale strategic ESIF projects and worked in many national expert platforms in the field of education. He is also significantly involved in foreign development cooperation on topics related to education reforms and state institution building. In December 2022, he was appointed by the Government as State Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. He is an external lecturer at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, and also works professionally with Masaryk University in Brno. He is an active speaker of French, English and Polish and has a passive knowledge of Latin, Italian and Russian. He is a recipient of the Medal of the National Educational Commission of the Republic of Poland, the Vasyl Sukhomlynsky Medal of Ukraine and the Czech National Medal for Merit for Security.
