Mr. Gustavo Villate is a Systems Analyst graduate from the Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, whose education has laid the groundwork for his career in the field of information and communication technologies. He is married, a father of two daughters, and passionate about technology and innovation. In his role as Minister of Information and Communication Technologies, Villate is driving a series of far-reaching projects for Paraguay. His efforts are focused on improving connectivity throughout the territory, ensuring that even the most remote areas can access vital digital services. Additionally, he promotes the implementation of effective technological solutions in the education and health sectors, thus fostering progress and efficiency in these crucial areas. Prior to his appointment as minister, Villate made his mark in the private sector as a co-founder of E-Services, a leading company in the telecommunications field. His experience also includes leadership roles in associations such as the Paraguayan Fintech Chamber and the Paraguayan Contact Center & BPO Chamber, in line with his commitment to technological advancement and innovation in the country. Furthermore, he has held senior positions in prominent companies, including his experience as the Director of Technology at Bouncopy and Chief Information Technology Officer at Claro Paraguay, where he promoted the implementation of advanced technological solutions to enhance services for customers.
