Esther Dweck is the Minister of Management and Innovation in Public Services. She is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Economics, Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE/UFRJ) and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). During her doctoral studies, she conducted research at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Italy.
Between 2011 and 2016, she worked at the Ministry of Planning, Budget, and Management, where she served as Chief of the Economic Advisory Office and Secretary of the Federal Budget (SOF). She also served as Deputy Chief for Policy Analysis and Monitoring at the Civil House.
In 2021, the Federal Council of Economics (Cofecon) awarded Esther Dweck the title of Economist Woman of the Year.
