Description

As the first country in Southeast Asia to complete an Integrity Review, (Phase I and II, conducted in 2018 and 2021, respectively), Thailand showed political commitment to improving its public integrity system. Based on the 2017 OECD Recommendation on Public Integrity, the Review made concrete policy recommendations for Thailand in the areas of institutional arrangements, integrity training for public servants, asset disclosure, and whistleblower protection. The Follow-Up Integrity Review of Thailand will assess Thailand’s progress in reinforcing its public integrity and accountability mechanisms, including its strategic approach to anti-corruption, disciplinary mechanisms and sanctions, and conflict-of-interest frameworks. The launch of this new Review represents a significant milestone in Thailand’s continued efforts to advance transparency, accountability, and good governance, and to foster a resilient culture of integrity across Thai public institutions.
