The Apparel and Textile Transformation Initiative: Overview and updates on country programmes

Feb 9, 2026 | 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Description

Organised by The Apparel and Textile Transformation Initiative The Apparel and Textile Transformation Initiative (ATTI) is an innovative, manufacturer-led, nationally oriented, and globally coordinated program designed to accelerate sustainable transformation across the apparel and textile industry. The initiative was developed in recognition of the unique role manufacturers and their associations play in driving practical, high-impact solutions to the sector’s most pressing challenges. ATTI is currently active in two countries: Bangladesh and Türkiye. In each country, an ATTI Chapter has been established in partnership with leading industry associations - BGMEA and BKMEA in Bangladesh, and IHKIB in Türkiye. These Chapters are responsible for developing and implementing country-level Transformation Plans, with strategic guidance from the ATTI Global Council. The OECD side session will provide an overview of the initiative and share insights and updates from both country programs, while outlining plans for future development and expansion.
