OECD Forum on Due Diligence in the Garment and Footwear Sector 11-12 February 2026

| About the Forum


The forum is a leading international event on due diligence in the garment and footwear sector where governments, businesses, trade unions, civil society, international organisations and academia come together to discuss key and emerging labour, human rights, integrity and environmental issues facing the sector and how to address them.

In 2025, the event welcomed more than 700 in-person participants plus 1200 attendees joining online, showcasing a wide range of voices with speakers from Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, the European Union, India, Pakistan, South Africa, Türkiye, the United States, and Viet Nam. 


   | Sessions: two types

OECD sessions

OECD sessions will take place on 11 and 12 February at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris and several are streamed online. These sessions offer key insights into how companies can implement due diligence in line with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector.

Side sessions

Side sessions run alongside the OECD sessions and are fully organised by a diverse range of stakeholders to complement the OECD sessions. Over 40 virtual side sessions will take place on 9, 10 and 13 February, while some will take place on-site on 11 and 12 February in Paris.

The OECD is developing tools and resources to help boost the capacity of companies to carry out due diligence, to support governments and sustainability initiatives to align their standards with OECD guidance, and to conduct research to fill knowledge gaps.

OECD Due Diligence Guidance for the Garment and Footwear Sector

The OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains in the Garment and Footwear Sector provides recommendations for all enterprises operating in the sector on how to implement due diligence in line with the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. 

Adopted by 51 governments and developed with trade unions, businesses and civil society, it sets a common understanding of due diligence in the sector.

OECD Due Diligence Checker for the Garment and Footwear Sector

The Due Diligence Checker helps companies to understand how well their current practices and risk management systems reflect international, government-backed due diligence standards. The results can serve as a valuable starting point for internal discussions, helping decision-makers and teams shape strategies and plan next steps. 

It is also available for sustainability initiatives who like to understand how well their expectations for companies reflect due diligence standards.

OECD e-learning Academy on Responsible Business Conduct

The e-learning Academy on Responsible Business Conduct offers companies and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn directly from the OECD. Each self-paced course includes knowledge assessments and provides a certificate of completion. 

The courses are ideal for business practitioners as well as professionals from government, industry associations, and civil society.
