Presentation

Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Murcia. After four years of research in Molecular Genetics at the University of Murcia and at the Institute of Biochemistry in Leipzig (Germany), she obtained the Degree in Research with the Bachelor's thesis, several publications and the Diploma of Advanced Studies in Molecular Genetics of fungi. From 2011 to 2019 she was a Member of the Congress of Deputies, serving as technology spokesperson of the Socialist Parliamentary Group and spokesperson for science and innovation during in two legislatures. Previously, she was a deputy in the Regional Assembly of Murcia, serving as spokesperson for technology, information society, science, university, youth and housing. Among other responsibilities, she was a member of the PSOE leadership from 2008 to 2016, being federal responsible for technology, science and innovation of the various executive committees. Her political career has endowed her with experience in political communication and networking, she led projects of transparency, public exemplarity and open government. Before assuming the responsibility of Secretary of State, she was a secondary school teacher, specializing in Physics and Chemistry, in the Region of Murcia after passing the civil service examinations in 2019.
