Description
Mr. Kulbatyrov is a national trade policy expert and currently serves as Deputy General Director of the QazTrade Center for Trade Policy Development. He graduated from the Timiryazev Russian State Agrarian University, Research fellow HSE University’s Institute for Trade Policy. Mr. Kulbatyrov has over 15 years of research experience on economies in transition, business climate, trade policy, and trade connectivity in Central Asia. He previously headed the Entrepreneurship Development Center at the Economic Research Institute under the Ministry of National Economy, where he co-authored Kazakhstan’s Business Climate Barometer report. He is an active member of the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor national team based at Nazarbayev University, has completed professional training in South Korea, Japan, Turkey, and China, and serves as an expert for the Government of Kazakhstan’s Industry Change Management Program. Mr. Kulbatyrov supervised Kazakhstan’s OECD Country Programme.
