Chairman
Mr Gaardhøj is the Chairman of Greater Copenhagen as well as the Chairman of the Regional Council and of the Executive Committee of the Capital Region of Denmark since 2021. He has been a member of the Regional Council since 2009.
Mr. Gaardhøj holds solid chairing experience from different committees and boards. Besides his current position, he is also the 2. Vice Chairman of Danish Regions and the Chairman of the Danish Society for Patient Safety.
Mr. Gaardhøj holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Southern Denmark. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party (Socialdemokratiet) in Denmark.
