Description

Katherine is Deputy Commissioner of the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) in South Africa, with oversight of regulatory policy and enforcement. An economist with experience in trade and competition policy, Katherine worked with South Africa’s National Treasury for more than a decade as part of its financial sector reform programme, to develop the conduct “peak” of South Africa’s twin peaks framework. She has been with the FSCA since its establishment in April 2018, building a proactive and evidence-led regulator that is future fit and customer focused. Katherine is an advocate for transformative gender equality in the workplace.
