Description
Micaela Arias is the Executive Director of Invest in Spain at ICEX Spain Trade and Investment.
She holds degrees in Business Administration and Management, as well as in Law, from Comillas University. In addition, she has completed specialised studies in both EU and Spanish Competition Law, and in the Economics of the Energy Sector.
Micaela is a State Economists and Trade since 2008, she previously spent nearly fourteen years in various senior roles at the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC).
In February 2026, she was appointed Executive Director of Invest in Spain at ICEX. She brings extensive experience in the analysis of regulated sectors, with particular relevance to the attraction of foreign investment, as well as strong expertise in the digital, audiovisual, and telecommunications industries.
