Gonçalo Saraiva Matias was born in 1979, in Lisbon, and is married. Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal, where he completed his degree (2002), his master's degree (2010) and his doctorate (2014). Vice-Director of the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal and of the Católica Global School of Law. He conducted research as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Georgetown University Law School. Specialist in constitutional law, administrative law, public international law and migration law. He was a consultant to the Office of the Secretary of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the XV Constitutional Government. He was Advisor for Legal and Constitutional Affairs of the Civil House of the President of the Republic between 2008 and 2014 and consultant to the same Civil House since 2014.
