Description

Clara Kögel is an Economist at the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, where she works in the Tax and the Environment Unit of the Tax Policy and Statistics Division. Her work focuses on the intersection of environmental and economic growth policy. She currently leads a country-specific project on environmental fiscal reform and contributes to the Inclusive Forum on Carbon Mitigation Approaches (IFCMA), particularly on the use of carbon intensity metrics in policy design. She has also contributed to the latest Effective Carbon Rates publication. Prior to joining the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, Clara worked in the OECD’s Directorate for Science, Technology and Innovation, where she authored several OECD Working Papers on the green transition and its impact on firm performance. She holds a PhD in Economics from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France.
