Description
Sho Yamasaki is an economist/ policy analyst at the National Urban Policy and Climate Resilience unit at the Cities, Urban Policies and Sustainable Development Division. His work focuses on sustainable urban development, climate resilience and circular economy. Prior to joining the unit in 2025, he worked in the Environmental Performance Review team at the OECD Environmental Directorate, where he contributed to analysis on various policy areas including green growth, environmental governance, and the distributional impacts of environmental policy.
Sho is a Japanese citizen and holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, as well as Business administration from the MIT Sloan School of management.
