Description

Ralf Martin is He is a Professor of Economics at Imperial College Business School, London, and an Associate of the Growth Programme at the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) at the London School of Economics. He is currently seconded as a Principal Economist to the Economic Research Unit of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), part of the World Bank Group, where he is developing a new research programme on climate change and sustainability. He has led the work on a recent IFC publication Innovation in ‘Green Technologies: An opportunity for businesses in low and middle income countries?’. He is also the Principal Investigator of the Productive & Inclusive Netzero Project (PRINZ, funded by the ESRC). His research focuses on the intersection of productivity, innovation and environmental sustainability — in particular, how economic growth can be achieved without compromising the natural environment.
