Description
Alexandra Hegarty is a Critical Minerals Analyst at the International Energy Agency, specialising in demand and supply modelling within the World Energy Outlook team. Her work focuses on critical minerals, with a particular specialisation in nickel, cobalt, markets, and environmental, social and governance considerations. She is a principal author of the IEA reports The Role of Traceability in Critical Mineral Supply Chains, Sustainable and Responsible Critical Mineral Supply Chains, and the Global Critical Mineral Outlook.
Prior to joining the IEA, Alexandra served as an Economist at Natural Resources Canada, where she concentrated on market trends and economic analysis of critical minerals. She holds an MA in Economics from the University of Toronto.
