Description
Louise Margolin is the deputy editor-in-chief of Africa Business+, a leading digital business information service dedicated to decision-makers working with Africa, part of the Jeune Afrique Media Group. She also oversees Jeune Afrique Media Group's coverage of the mining sector. She writes about Africa's largest mining companies, major deals on the continent, the impacts of the energy transition, and the linkages between mining and geopolitics. She recently took part in an ICIJ investigation into southern Africa and the gold industry.
Prior to joining Africa Business+, Louise was deputy editor-in-chief of investigative media Africa Intelligence. She was also associate director in the Control Risks' business intelligence department, covered Egypt's oil and gas sector from Cairo, and worked in embassies in Mali and Eritrea. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris, she also studied at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA).
