Description
Rosana Brantes Abarca holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering and a degree in Civil Engineering in Biotechnology from the University of Chile, as well as a Master's in Public Management and Policy from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul. She currently works at the Chilean Copper Commission (COCHILCO) and has extensive experience in the public sector, particularly in environmental and sustainability issues. Over the past ten years, her focus has been especially on energy and climate change. She has worked on coordinating water oversight policies and collaborating with public and private stakeholders in the design of public policies related to sustainability and mining. She also has research experience and has published several works on topics such as energy, emissions, water resources, and tailings, all related to copper mining.
