Sylvestre Ngombe was born in Kolwezi, in the mining province of Lualaba, in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He was president of the Mutoshi quarry diggers (Chemaf) and is currently the union of all the diggers in Kolwezi and president of the COMIAKOL cooperative.
