Ximena has over 20 years of professional experience in designing, implementing, coordinating, and managing impact agendas and multi-stakeholder collaboration processes, focused on promoting and contributing to sustainable development in a systemic way. Her last 9 years have been dedicated to promoting sustainability practices, political and democratic innovation in Latin America, leading actions related to justice and diversity, citizen participation, safe access to water and sanitation, expanding civic space, and peacebuilding. For 10 years, she worked on the implementation of public policies for peacebuilding, in the reintegration processes of demobilized individuals from illegal armed groups, in strategies for accompanying and empowering vulnerable populations, and in reconciliation efforts in Colombia. She holds a degree in International Relations from the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia, a Master's in Conflict Resolution from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom, and a specialization in Theory and Experiences in Armed Conflict Resolution from the Universidad de los Andes.
