I was born on January 15, 1994, in the municipality of Támesis, located in the southwest of the department of Antioquia. My life’s purpose has always been focused on transforming realities at the local level, with a perspective of regional equity and sustainable progress rooted in community engagement. For this reason, I chose to strengthen my professional capabilities by becoming a Business Administrator, Specialist in Regional Development Management, and holding a Master’s degree in Government and Public Policy. This academic journey has meant much more than earning degrees—it has been a path of preparation to exercise ethical, informed, and community-driven leadership. Over the years, I have walked the streets, rural paths, and mountains of my municipality, listening to its people and building a deep understanding of their needs, hopes, and challenges. From that closeness grew the conviction that it is possible to govern with dignity, transparency, planning, and love for our roots. In 2023, that vision became a reality when I was elected mayor of Támesis, supported by 4,856 citizens who believed in a participatory and human-centered government proposal. Currently, I also have the honor of serving as president of the Cartama Province, an association that brings together neighboring municipalities of southwestern Antioquia. We share historic challenges and a unified vision for territorial development. Through this regional initiative, we promote coordination of efforts and the strengthening of local capacities to achieve equitable and sustainable progress.
