Lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a specialization in Business Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia and an MBA from Prime Business School at Sergio Arboleda University.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the public utilities sector, particularly in telecommunications. He took part in the transformation of the energy sector during the liquidation of electric utilities in northern Colombia, as well as in the transformation of the telecommunications sector. He has held several key positions, including Legal Vice President of the National Telecommunications Company, Telecom; General Secretary of Colombia Telecomunicaciones. Before becoming President, he served as Director of Public Affairs and Regulation. In 2017, he was part of the team that completed the capitalization process of Telefonica in Colombia.
In 2018, he assumed the role of President & CEO of Telefónica Colombia. Under his leadership, the company continued its technological migration from copper to fiber, making Movistar Colombia the country’s leading fiber operator.
