Clara Ligia Solano is the current Executive Director of Fundación Natura, a position she has held since 2019 after serving for 13 years as the organization’s Deputy Director of Conservation and Research.
She is a biologist by profession, with 28 years of experience in management, planning, and sustainable development aimed at improving the quality of life in rural and urban communities, as well as conserving biodiversity. Her work also includes the management of environmental organizations, programs, and projects as a strategy to address the global and national environmental crisis—by influencing decision-makers and tackling the challenge of scaling successful actions to achieve greater impact across territories.
