Alejandro is an environmental engineer, specialist in Environmental Law, holds a Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and a Ph.D. in Sustainability. He has been a lecturer at both undergraduate and graduate levels for over 20 years. He has worked in the public sector as Deputy Secretary of the Environment for Medellín, Environmental Deputy Director of the Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley, and as General Director of Corantioquia. He has also served as a consultant for various public and private institutions at the local, national, and international levels, including GIZ, GGGI, and CEMPRE, among others.
Currently, Alejandro serves as the Executive Director of ICLEI Colombia.
