Solidary and Sustainable—these have been the guiding words for CoopeTarrazú since 1960, when 228 small producers founded the cooperative. Today, CoopeTarrazú is the most important coffee cooperative in Costa Rica and aims to become a leader in innovation and the transformation of coffee growing. To achieve this, the cooperative has strengthened key partnerships, because this challenging journey cannot be undertaken alone.
Actions such as research, continuous improvement, reducing the environmental footprint, regenerative agriculture, and monitoring and evaluation are all part of ensuring that coffee growing remains viable over time, achieving greater productivity in synergy with the surrounding ecosystem.
