What is this Local Initiatives Marketplace stand all about?
Description
The “Sabor Bajero” Gastronomic Festival is the result of a strategic partnership with the Barranquilla Mayor’s Office, a key ally of our “Entrepreneurial Families” program. Thanks to this public-private collaboration, the festival has held 13 successful editions that boost the local economy and showcase the talent of 50 women heads of household from the Barrio Abajo neighborhood.
Through technical training in partnership with SENA, these entrepreneurs have strengthened their culinary and business skills, enabling them to professionalize their ventures and generate sustainable income.
“Sabor Bajero” has become a platform of high social and cultural impact, with over COP 250 million in accumulated net earnings. This alliance not only transforms lives but also drives economic development and celebrates Barranquilla’s rich gastronomy and culture.
