Travelling around  Greater Copenhagen

To plan your journey using public transportation in Copenhagen, download and use the Rejseplanen app. Please note that ticket purchases are not available within the app. Instead, tickets can be purchased online via the DOT app, where you have the option to pay with Apple Pay or a registered credit card.  Alternatively, tickets can be purchased at metro and train stations, as well as at the airport.

It's important to buy your ticket beforehand for all modes of transportation, although small change is accepted when purchasing directly from the bus driver. Regardless of whether you're traveling by bus, metro, or S-train within Copenhagen, the ticket type remains the same.
If you plan to travel around Sweden, download and use the Skånetrafiken app. You can purchase tickets within the app and also use it to travel between Sweden and Denmark.

Both Copenhagen and Malmö are extremely bike-friendly cities and this is something the region is very well known for! To rent a bike in Copenhagen, download the Donkey Republic app and use your phone to unlock the bike. Ride for as long as you want and return the bike afterwards at the closest pick-up point. In Malmö, download the Malmö By Bike app to find bike pick-up and drop-off locations, and to plan your ideal route.
