Description
Abildgaard has a PhD in biotechnology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences. She has more than 25 years of experience from RCN and has been head of several departments, being responsible for programs within seafood, marine ecosystems, climate and environmental research, food, bioeconomy and enabling technologies; and foresight activities; and previously being responsible for hosting the secretariat of JPI Oceans in Brussels. She has experience from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries; and from research and industry. She has been a member of several national and international research policy committees such as member of JPI Oceans Management Board and the Steering committee for “The Ocean Economy in 2030”.
