OECD Sustainable Investment Days 2025

Facing Shared Challenges in Uncertain Times

4 & 5 November 2025 | Paris and online

About the event

The Sustainable Investment Days 2025 will bring together high-level policymakers, investment promotion agencies (IPAs), business leaders, civil society representatives, international organisations, and academics to discuss the evolving landscape of global investment policies and promotion strategies. It aims to discuss and identify innovative and collaborative solutions on how governments can shape investment policies that support resilient economies in times of geoeconomic uncertainty, climate crisis, digital revolution and growing inequality.

The two days will also feature side-events with cross-cutting topics on investment policy, business environment and promotion in uncertain times, which will be organised with partnering organisations such as Business at OECD (BIAC). All sessions will take place at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris and will be broadcasted live online.

Day 1 10th OECD Investment Promotion Agency Network Meeting

The first day will feature the 10th OECD Investment Promotion Agency Network Meeting to explore how IPAs are adapting their strategic priorities to the current volatile environment. As foreign direct investment (FDI) flows are increasingly shaped by megatrends and geopolitical tensions, IPAs must adapt quickly to remain effective. The conference will discuss how investment promotion leaders are rethinking institutional choices, reshaping target sectors and value propositions, and better supporting complex investor needs to advance resilience, sustainability and digital transformation.

Day 2 8th OECD Roundtable on Investment and Sustainable Development

The 8th high-level Roundtable discusses how investment policies can help build economic resilience and foster sustainable development. The importance of implementing internationally agreed investment policy standards was highlighted at the 2025 OECD Ministerial Council Meeting. The Roundtable will examine whether global investment policies are fit-for-purpose and uncover needs for adjusting them to rebuild trust and global cooperation. The Roundtable will also launch newly developed OECD investment policy tools such as on digital investment and investment incentives.
