The Vice Minister of Employment and Pensions of the Ministry of Labor is Andrés Felipe Uribe Medina, an economist from Cali, Colombia.
He graduated with honors in a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and served as Director of the General Directorate of Economic Regulation of Social Security of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, where he was also an advisor to the Minister's office.
Previously, he served as Secretary of Finance of the Municipality of Santiago de Cali and as advisor to the National Planning Department and the Ministry of Finance.
He is also a specialist in journalism and holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Universidad de los Andes. He has a teaching career at leading universities such as the Javeriana and Los Andes.
