Description

Anne-Hélène Mathey is the Senior Director of Environmental and Climate Policy at the Canadian Forest Service. With over 15 years of experience in the forest sector—as a contractor, academic, and federal executive—she brings a multidisciplinary perspective to forest and climate policy. Anne-Hélène began her career at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Forestry, where she worked on designing decision-support systems for the sector. She later served as Director of Economic Analysis and Executive Director of Natural Climate Solutions at the Canadian Forest Service. She has led the development and implementation of major federal initiatives including the 2 Billion Trees program and bioeconomy initiatives—leveraging the forest sector’s potential to address climate change and drive innovation. She holds a Master’s degree in Forest Science and a Ph.D. in Resource Management and Planning.
