Mr. Nguyen Van Binh is Director-General, Legal Affairs Department of Ministry of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA).
Before working for MoLISA, Mr. Nguyen Van Binh had more than 10 years working as a Legal Specialist for Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) and 5 years working for International Labour Organisation (ILO) – Ha noi Office as an Official on Labour Law and Industrial Relations. Mr. Nguyen Van Binh has long work history and rich experience in the field of labour law, labour movement and industrial relations. During the time working for MoLISA, he was at the driving seat to make proposal for the enactment of the Labour Code 2019 of Viet Nam, ratifications of some core ILO conventions, including Convention No. 98 on Right to Organise and Collective Bargaining, Convention No. 105 on Abolition of Forced Labour and other technical conventions. Together with many other areas of work as the Director-General of the Legal Affairs Department, he has devoted his time and efforts to promotion of the labour right of the Vietnamese workers and protection of the Vietnamese vulnerable people including poor people, children and people with disability… Mr. Nguyen Van Binh is a Doctor in Law. He speaks Vietnamese as mother tongue and fluently English.
