Getting to Maastricht


Maastricht is located in the southeast of the Netherlands, close to the borders of both Belgium and Germany. As a city, it is one of the oldest in the Netherlands with historical architecture and a thriving community.  The video provides more information on how to arrive to the city. 
Maastricht Aachen Airport

Getting to the MECC

MECC Maastricht is a five-minute walk from the Maastricht-Randwyck train station and a stone’s throw away from Maastricht Central Station. 

By bus: A bus leaves every five minutes from Maastricht city centre or Maastricht Central Station headed to MECC Maastricht (Forum MECC bus stop).

By train: The Maastricht-Randwyck train station is 250 metres from MECC Maastricht and is connected to an international rail network. There are also regular connections to Maastricht Central Station which is part of the (inter)national rail network.

By plane: Maastricht-Aachen Airport is 10 km from MECC Maastricht, and MECC Maastricht is 15 minutes from the airport by car, taxi or bus.

Logistics note for participants

 
Participants will be able to experience many parts of the Province of Limburg over the course of the Forum.  The organising team will share an info sheet with relevant logistical information in the lead up to the event.

Visas

Please note that the OECD cannot organise a visa on your behalf. -> European Union citizens do not require a visa for entry into The Netherlands. -> All Forum delegates traveling to the Netherlands must present a passport (or approved identity card for EU citizens) and many countries require a visa to enter the country. Delegates are encouraged to apply for visas early (at least two months before departure), and to ensure all requested documentation is submitted with the application for Schengen Visa (Visa C).
