Description
Paula Estévez holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a master’s in Environmental Engineering from Columbia University in New York, United States.
She served as general manager of the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile), where she led the strengthening of the institution as an influential trade association, promoting spaces for collaboration between the public and private sectors, and encouraging investment and trade between Chile and the United States.
In the public sector, she had a distinguished career as head of the Energy Ministry’s International Department, under the governments of former presidents Michelle Bachelet and Sebastián Piñera.
She has solid experience in international affairs, including the negotiation of agreements and protocols, representing Chile with distinction in various bilateral and multilateral forums.
Her career in the private sector includes working for various multinational energy companies and consultancy firms on energy development projects. She has also worked with the Columbia University Engineering Center and the Inter-American Development Bank.
In addition, she has been a member of various institutions focused on education and overcoming poverty.
