Description
Aurélien Hamelle has been President Strategy & Sustainability and a member of the Executive Committee of TotalEnergies since January 2024. Prior to this position, he was General Counsel and Director of Acquisitions and Divestitures at TotalEnergies. He began his career as a litigation, arbitration and regulatory lawyer at several law firms, including Allen & Overy as a partner in the Paris office.
As President Strategy & Sustainability, Aurélien Hamelle oversees several divisions of the company (Strategy & Markets, Sustainability & Climate, Public Affairs, HSE, Internal Control & Audit, Legal). He is a member of several professional associations and academic bodies, such as the Haut Comité Juridique de la place financière de Paris (HCJP) and the Club des Juristes. He is a member of the Strategic Committee of the Law School of the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences-Po) where he has held a position as a lecturer in global governance.
Aurélien Hamelle is a graduate of Sciences-Po Paris and holds master's degrees in law and management from the universities of Paris-Nanterre and Paris-Dauphine (PSL).
