Prof. Dr. Erwan Agus Purwanto is an academic and public policy practitioner with extensive experience in public administration, bureaucratic reform, and public policy. He earned his Doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from the Amsterdam School for Social Science Research, Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 2004. He currently serves as Deputy for Bureaucratic Reform, Apparatus Accountability and Oversight, Government of the Republic of Indonesia. In addition to his government position, he has been a Professor of Public Policy at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), since 2019. As an academic, Prof. Erwan has conducted extensive research and published numerous scholarly works on public policy and public administration, contributing to the development of public policy thinking and practice in Indonesia.
