Description
Dr Ketakandriana Rafitoson is a Malagasy political scientist, anti-corruption activist, and human rights defender who serves as the Vice-Chair of Transparency International since 2023, and the Global Executive Director for Resource Justice Network – formerly known as Publish What You Pay (PWYP), since 2024. She is known for her advocacy for good governance, transparency, democratization, citizens’ engagement and women and youth's empowerment. Fond of social justice, she holds a PhD in Political Science and another one in Sociology for Development; and lectures at the Catholic University of Madagascar and co-founded several movements like Wake Up Madagascar. Beyond her official roles, “Ke” also sits within the international boards of the Fisheries Transparency Initiative (FiTI) and the African Women Against Corruption Network (AWACN), and as a former TED Speaker, is the curator and founder of TEDx Manjakamiadana.
