Born in Palembang, Indonesia, Mr. Agus Joko Pramono has an extensive academic and professional background in public finance and governance. he holds academic degrees in accounting, law, and political science. He graduated from the Polytechnic of State Finance (STAN), earned a Master’s in Accounting from Universitas Gadjah Mada in 2009, and a Doctorate in Social and Political Sciences from Universitas Padjadjaran in 2015.
In recognition of his academic contributions, he was conferred the title of Professor in Public Sector Accounting by Universitas Jenderal Soedirman (Unsoed) in November 2023. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Kennedy School’s leadership program in United States.
He began his career as a lecturer at STAN and joined the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) in 2011. He held several key positions in the Audit Board, including Member III (2013– 2014), overseeing audits related to national institutions and social welfare, and Member II (2014– 2019), supervising audits in the fields of national economic development and planning. He later served as Vice Chairman of the Indonesian Audit Board from 2018 to August 2023 and was also appointed as Independent Commissioner at a Indonesian State Owned Enterprise, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi from 2023 to 2024. In 2024, Mr. Agus Joko Pramono was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), bringing with him a wealth of experience in financial oversight and governance.
