Biography
Ana Luísa Machado was appointed Secretary of State for Justice in the XXV Constitutional Government on 6 June 2025.
She previously served as Acting Chair of the Board of Directors of the Institute for
Financial Management and Justice Infrastructure (IGFEJ, I.P.) a position she held
from December 2024, and as Head of the Office of the Secretary of State for Justice
in the XXIV Constitutional Government.
With over 20 years of experience in the legal field, she has worked in administrative
law, intellectual property, consumer law and tax law.
She has also coordinated the Legal Department of the Serralves Foundation and
projects for the NGO Helpo in Mozambique, Brazil and Portugal.
She holds a degree in Law from the Portuguese Catholic University (2002) and a
master's degree in Administrative Law from the University of Porto (2022).
