Description
Since 2022, Mélanie Robert is Director General of International Relations and Trade Policy at Transport Canada, where she coordinates and supports international activities of the Minister and senior officials, provides strategic advice on transportation policy interests, opportunities, and challenges in the international sphere, and leads consultations and negotiations on transport issues in Canada’s trade and investment agreements.
From 2016 to 2022, she was Executive Director, Open Government at the Treasury Board Secretariat of Canada, where she coordinated transparency, engagement and open data efforts across the federal government and collaboration with provinces and territories‎ as well as civil society and citizens.
With over 25 years of experience in the federal public service and 15 as a senior executive, Mélanie has represented Canada in various international and multilateral bodies, and lead a wide variety of files related to innovation and technology, regulation and enforcement, business intelligence and analysis, as well as consultations and communications.
