Reaching net zero

How can sustainable and transition finance support the journey to net zero in Asia?

In order to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, efforts to tackle climate change are underway throughout the world. Asia is a key region when it comes to achieving net zero globally. Asia accounts for half of the world’s GHG emissions, and approximately 85% of the energy consumption there is from fossil fuels, which is projected to double in 2030. Therefore, it is salient, especially in Asia, to develop transition finance approaches and practices.
