Description
Nicole Robins is a partner at the economics and finance consultancy, Oxera Consulting LLP. Nicole is the head of Oxera’s Brussels office, and leads Oxera’s state aid practice. In particular, Nicole advises clients on economic and financial issues associated with a diverse range of state aid matters across sectors including energy, financial services, pharmaceuticals, post and telecoms, transport and sports infrastructure. She provides advice on state aid compliance, and advises beneficiaries, complainants and member states during state aid investigations by the European Commission and in state aid litigation cases in front of the European courts. Nicole has submitted many expert reports, and given expert evidence in front of the Courts in several jurisdictions. She has also given expert economic evidence on state aid matters in front of the General Court on several occasions. She teaches the state aid module on the postgraduate diploma in Economics for Competition Law at King’s College London. Nicole was named the ‘Economist of the Year’ in the Global Competition Review Awards in 2020.
