Description

Nicolas Hazard is a French entrepreneur. He created and manages INCO, a global organization on a mission to build a new economy that is environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. Through its investment (INCO Ventures) and incubation (INCI Incubators) activities, INCO supports innovative companies from the social economy that are shaping this economy of tomorrow. And through INCO Academy, INCO provides training and support to people across the world seeking careers that stem from this new economy. Nicolas is a graduate of HEC and Sciences Po Paris. Founder of the Impact² event, he is the winner of the Montgolfier Prize (Committee for Economic Arts) and was elected "Young Global Leader" in 2015 by the World Economic Forum. He was also elected “Young Global Leader” by the French American Foundation in 2016 and by the Franco British Foundation in 2017. He authored several books and publications about the new economy, and published, among others, in The Guardian, Le Monde and the Stanford Innovation Review. Since July 2020, Nicolas Hazard has been special adviser in charge of the social and solidarity economy at the European Commission, reporting to Commissioner for Employment and Social Rights Nicolas Schmit.
