Åsa Skogström Feldt is the Managing Director of IKEA Social Entrepreneurship BV. Through partnerships, programmes and investment, IKEA Social Entrepreneurship supports social entrepreneurs across the globe, creating new opportunities for people distanced from the labour market and those living in vulnerable communities, while tackling the root causes of poverty and inequality through systems change strategies. Åsa has a background working in business and NGOs. She was previously global president and CEO of The Hunger Project in New York and CEO of The Hunger Project, Sweden. She also introduced social entrepreneurship into the supply chain at IKEA of Sweden, was the head of marketing for Sony Ericsson in Germany, corporate communications director for Aspiro and marketing communications manager for Ericsson Mobile Communications in the Middle East and Africa. Throughout her career, Åsa has championed women's empowerment, whether through board assignments, co-founding women’s organisations, on exchange programs, in grassroots activism around the world and in her everyday life.
