Description
Dan Berger leads the Maine North Atlantic Development Office at Maine International Trade Center, connecting Maine with Arctic and North Atlantic markets. With business strategy and new product development experience at Microsoft, Best Buy, and Zillow, he now specializes in cross-border partnerships and economic growth strategies for the state of Maine that promote innovation within natural resource-based economies. Dan works with government, private sector, and research and development institutions to grow commercial opportunities across the North Atlantic. He also supports Maine's Forest Bioproducts Advanced Manufacturing Tech Hub, a federally designated Tech Hub under the CHIPS Act, and is a founding member of Maine's Blue Economy Task Force to grow the Blue Biotechnology sector. These initiatives are designed to meet Maine's economic development and climate action plan goals. Dan serves on the Executive Board of the World Affairs Council of Maine and holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota and a BA in History from Macalester College.
