Description
Steve Milbury has served in economic development with the Province of New Brunswick since 2012, bringing more than 23 years of private sector experience in ICT, project development, and business development. His career has taken him across Canada and abroad, with time spent living and working in Calgary and Vancouver, and extensive global travel supporting investment and growth initiatives.
As Vice President of Business Development for Opportunities NB, Steve leads the province’s international business strategy, including Foreign Direct Investment, trade and export development, business growth, and the management of ONB’s foreign offices in India and France. His team actively drives investment opportunities in emerging sectors such as energy innovation, cybersecurity, and digital health, while also supporting traditional industries including manufacturing, agri-tech, and ICT.
In addition to his professional role, Steve is deeply engaged in his community. He serves as Vice President with the U18 Major AAA Vito’s Hockey program, head coach of the Kennebecasis Valley High School Boys AAA Hockey Team, and as a Director with the YMCA, the Canadian Institute for Cybersecurity, and the New England–Canada Business Council.
