Biography
Gerald Campos Valverde has been the Minister of Justice and Peace of Costa Rica since May 8th, 2022. He is a lawyer by profession with master's degrees in Business Law, Criminal Law, and Criminal Procedure. He was Deputy Director of the Judicial Investigation Agency of Costa Rica for more than nine years. Mr. Campos Valverde currently oversees Costa Rica's Security and Justice sector and leads the Violence Prevention Programs through the Civic Centers for Peace.
